The TAPA from TAMBU is an evolution of our GATI sun awning, featuring several thoughtful innovations: a darker color scheme, a black coating for significantly better sun protection, and integrated side panels for additional wind and privacy protection. The TAPA was specifically developed for side mounting on buses or vans, creating a protected area directly next to the vehicle.
With a size of approx. 320 × 240 × 220 cm (L × W × H), it creates a spacious, shady spot for sitting, cooking, or relaxing. The sun awning is suitable for vehicles with an attachment height of approx. 180 to 210 cm and can be flexibly adapted to many common campervans. The front remains deliberately open, providing an airy sense of space, while the side panels can be easily retracted when needed. The black coating noticeably reduces direct sunlight and ensures comfortable conditions under the sun awning, even on warm days.
The inflatable Air System is filled via a plug valve on the hose with the included air pump and stands stably within a few minutes – entirely without traditional poles. The integrated 250 cm long keder strip (5 mm & 7 mm) allows direct attachment to the keder rail. Additionally, provisions for tensioning over the vehicle or using suction cups are available; these attachment methods are prepared but not included in the scope of delivery.
Made from rPET polyester with PU coating (3000 mm water column), the TAPA is weatherproof, durable, and PFC-free. With a weight of approx. 6.5 kg and a packing size of approx. 75 × 20 × 20 cm, it remains pleasantly portable for travel.
A practical lamp hook in the entrance area provides light in the evening, while the open design offers maximum freedom during the day. Air pump, guy ropes, and pegs are included, so you can get started right away.
